Liverpool have been having an amazing season, but they have also been victims of an injury crisis along with other clubs in Europe. With new players finding good form and performing well in the absence of other players, Liverpool has an extra boost for the rest of the season.

In the 5-2 win against Norwich City in the FA Cup, Trent Alexander Arnold, Andrew Robertson, and Dominik Szoboszlai returned to the pitch after suffering injuries. Robertson’s last Liverpool game before Norwich City was against Brighton in early October. Mohamed Salah and Egypt were eliminated from the AFCON Cup, which means the return of the winger to Liverpool. His return won’t be immediately on the pitch as he is still recovering from an injury he obtained in the African tournament.

Tsimikas, who suffered an injury in December, is soon returning to the squad. The player who missed the most amount of games is soon about to make his return to the pitch. Thiago Alcantara is back in team training and could be available for Liverpool’s game against Burnley next Saturday. His last game was back in April 2023 against West Ham United. The depth in the squad has increased dramatically, and Jurgen Klopp will have a positive headache in who to choose to play for the rest of the season.

Jurgen Klopp speaks on the rest of the season for Liverpool

Klopp is happy to have many available players on the squad for the rest of the season. Klopp says, “That’s not a challenge. It’s the one moment for the first time in the season when we have a luxury problem - more players than positions we can start."

Klopp talks about Arsenal and says, “We will try to make it as hard as possible for anyone who wants to finish this season above us. We need to be at our best; we have played Arsenal twice recently, both games were not perfect. We won there, but not our usual game. Arsenal were dominant, and we finished chances."
