FC Barcelona losing Lionel Messi in the summer of 2021 was a heartbreak for Barca fans around the world, and since then, the Catalan club has yet found a player who could somewhat deliver for the team on the pitch like he did. Barcelona trusted a lot in their academy, La Masia, and before playing Lamine Yamal a lot in the first team, the club's trust was Ansu Fati, who was seen as the heir of Messi. After a bad injury during the 2020/2021 season, Fati was never the same again, as he did not deliver on the pitch on a regular basis. He wore the number 10 shirt after Messi at FC Barcelona, but now he could be on his way to AC Milan in Italy. Reports in Spain suggest that AC Milan wants to sign Fati on a loan deal, but his current market value is around $25 million. He would do a Ronaldinho as the Brazilian star was at FC Barcelona until he made a move to Milan in the summer of 2008.
Fati played for Brighton this past season on a season-long loan deal. The Spanish winger played a total of 27 matches for Brighton across all competitions, including the Premier League, the Europa League, the FA Cup, and the EFL Carabao Cup. He scored four goals and provided one assist. He played 1,058 minutes for Brighton, and he mostly came off the bench.
He suffered a big calf injury that kept him out of many games at Brighton, and he did not succeed during his short time in England. He is back at FC Barcelona and is motivated enough to prove to the Barca fans that he can still contribute to the Catalan team.
If Ansu Fati does leave FC Barcelona again on loan, he will be arriving at one of the biggest clubs in the world if he joins AC Milan. Ronaldinho spoke about his time in Milan after his time at FC Barcelona and said, "My time in Milan was almost natural. It's a dream for everyone to play there. I spent two and a half unforgettable years. I remember every moment. I'm happy to see this club back at the top."
