FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta is planning to build a new squad for next season despite the club's economic crisis. The Catalan club was questioning selling key players from the squad to gain funds and sign players. Barca is unsure of who to sell but might have a new way out of selling valuable players.

Frenkie De Jong and Ronald Araujo are two of the most valuable players in the Barca team. Chelsea and Bayern Munich have offered the Catalan club 100 million euros for both De Jong and Araujo, respectively. Barca is targeting raising 200 million euros to avoid FFP problems in La Liga and the registration of players for next season. Barca also wants Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix to continue at the club. Joao Cancelo could be signed on a permanent deal for 15-20 million euros. In contrast, Barca could extend Felix's loan for an extra year.

While sporting director Deco and Barca president Laporta have expressed that they do not want to sell key players like De Jong and Araujo to gain funds, Barca plans to sell more studio rights. Leao is seen as that one superstar and Milan would let him leave for €150m but may negotiate a lower price. Barça thinks they can make a competitive offer.
