In an interview with CBS Sports, former Barcelona player Thierry Henry talked with his former teammate and expressed his feelings about Xavi's decision to leave the club at the end of the season. Henry said, "Hey, Xavi, my friend. I don't care what people say. I'm impressed with your work at Barça. You won the league, and you taught me a lot in football. Your brain, for me, is second to none. In terms of how you seen the game, only Pep [Guardiola] compares to you."

Henry also quickly mentions the time when Xavi had a word with him when they both played at FC Barcelona. Henry said, "Xavi, I am proud to say that I played with you. I will never forget when you told me to stay silent and only speak when I win when we played at Barcelona. I automatically understood what the club means. Thank you for everything."

Henry spoke more about the time Xavi was annoyed with him and told him to be quiet

As he mentioned earlier to Xavi, Henry was asked about the details of him angering Xavi when he played at FC Barcelona. Henry said, "At Barça's stadium, you step out of the stairs, and the first thing you see is 'Mes que un club.' So in the morning, I was walking, moody, and I was like, 'Mes que un club,' what is that? Xavi heard me. Xavi tapped me on the shoulder and said: "I heard what you were saying. You need to win here to understand it. Don’t talk about my club like that". I looked at him, and I said this is why this guy is different. This is why he wants to win."
