Haaland is reported to be favorite to win another major award!

Erling Haaland can win a huge prize ahead of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Although he is currently not playing and is suffering an injury, Erling Haaland is reported to be the favorite to win another personal award. The Norweigan striker is reportedly out until the end of January as Pep Guardiola confirms his absence before Manchester City's game against Newcastle United.

The foot injury Haaland suffered in early December has kept the player out for almost two months. Despite the injury, the striker has remained the top goalscorer for City and leads the goalscorers table in the Premier League.

The Norwegian striker has 14 goals and four assists in 15 league games. He has 19 goal contributions in those 15 Premier League games. Mohamed Salah has the same amount of goals with 14 but is currently out with Eygpt in the AFCON tournament. Haaland has 19 goals in 22 games in all competitions, including five goals in Champions League games.

Haaland has an opportunity to win a major award ahead of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe tonight. In late October of 2023, the Balon d'Or ceremony awarded Messi with his eighth Balon d'Or award. The Norweigan striker placed second in the ranking ahead of Mbappe, who placed third.

Erling Haaland is the favorite to win the FIFA The Best Men's player award

According to a report by the Spanish publication Marca, Erling Haaland is the favorite to beat Messi and Mbappe to FIFA's The Best Men player award. After missing out on the Balon d'Or in October, Haaland can be recognized for his incredible treble-winning season with Manchester City. The striker scored 52 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions for Man City.

The player also set a record in the Premier League by scoring the most number of goals in one Premier League season in recent history. Haaland scored 36 goals out of 35 Premier League games. The player also provided nine assists in all competitions in his debut season for City. The FIFA The Best award ceremony is in London tonight with Messi, Mbappe, and Haaland as the three finalists.
