Chelsea defeated Leicester City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. Chelsea made it to the semifinals of the FA Cup, and it's the second time this season they will play a semifinal. Chelsea looked in control for most of the game, but the second half gave the team and the Chelsea fans a great scare.

Chelsea seemed in control of the game early, as in the 13th minute, Chelsea scored the opener. Nicolas Jackson dribbled into the box past a Leicester City defender and crossed a low ball to Marc Cucurella, who tapped the ball into the net from close range. Chelsea could've doubled the lead in the 26th minute as they got a penalty, but Leicester City's keeper Jakub Stolarczyk saved Raheem Sterling's shot. Sterling redeemed himself just before halftime as he raced down from the left side and passed a low ball to Cole Palmer in the box. Palmer pushes the ball into the near post, and it goes into the net to make it 2-0 for Chelsea at halftime.

The second half started poorly for Chelsea as they conceded a wild own goal in the 51st minute. Chelsea had a throw-in away from their box. Malo Gusto throws the ball to Axel Disasi, and with pressure from Daka, the French defender panics and mishits the ball back to his keeper Robert Sanchez. Sanchez couldn't get near the ball as it bounced into their own net. Leicester City used this to their advantage and scored the equalizer to make it 2-2 in the 62nd minute. Stephy Mavididi, in the box, curls the ball into the right corner, and the Foxes believed in a comeback.

In the 92nd minute, Carney Chukwuemeka played a one-two with Palmer in the box, which led to the goal. Palmer backheeled the pass to Chukwuemeka, and he slots the ball into the right corner. In the 98th minute, Noni Madueke gets past a couple of Leicester City players and shoots from 25 yards to send the ball over the Leicester keeper. It takes a slight deflection, but it confirms Chelsea's 4-2 win and their trip to Wembley for the semifinals of the FA Cup.
