Chelsea has spent over 1 billion pounds since the takeover of Todd Boehly. Big-money signings like Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, and more have not satisfied the American owner. Instead of breaking the bank, the club might look for cheaper options this winter.

Their target is for the attacking positions since the team has failed to perform well in the league. The team is currently in 9th with 31 points and remains in the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. Although they are trailing 1-0 against Middlesbrough, the club hopes to get past the Championship side next week at Stamford Bridge.

Their top goal scorer is Palmer, who has nine goals in the Premier League. Nicolas Jackson has seven, and Sterling has the third-highest number of goals with five. With Jackson out for around a month due to his participation with Senegal at the AFCON, Chelsea will look at the market to find another striker to help the team score more goals.

The club will look for experience in the attack since the team is currently filled with young players, with the exception of Sterling, who has a lot of experience. They are currently using Broja at the striker position but want depth in that position.

Chelsea is looking to sign Roberto Firmino for a short-term loan.

Chelsea will look to the Saudi Pro League to sign Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino. Chelsea has also shown interest in signing Karim Benzema, but the deal is harder to complete due to the wages the French player is on. Firmino, on the other hand, has expressed his desire to leave the Saudi league and has seen few minutes on the pitch.

Firmino joined Al-Ahli on a free transfer and has played a few minutes in recent months. The Saudi club is currently third in the league with 40 points. Chelsea believes they can bring the Brazilian in on a short-term loan since the player is desperate to leave. He can agree on taking a pay cut in case the move to Chelsea happens.
