Dani Alves has an opportunity to be released from jail, as he was sentenced to four years of jail time for rape. Dani Alves can be released from prison if he pays a million euro bail. This is what the Court of Barcelona has agreed to after the hearing that took place earlier this week. Many reports suggested that Alves' former teammate Neymar in Brazil and in FC Barcelona would be willing to help him by offering him the $1 million bail to release him as soon as possible. Things look to have changed as Neymar's father released a statement saying that it would not happen.

On Instagram, Neymar's father posted a statement regarding helping Dani Alves with his $1 million bail to release him. His statement read, "As everyone knows, at first, I helped Dani Alves without any link with any lawsuit. In this second moment, in a different situation from the previous one, in which the Spanish Courts have already decided for the conviction, they are speculating and trying to associate my name and my son's with a matter that is no longer up to us today."

"I hope Daniel finds his with his own family all the answers he is looking for. For us, for my family, the matter is over. Period!" Neymar Jr himself liked the post of his father, as did Thiago Silva. The situation has gotten worse for Dani Alves as he is struggling to find $1 million to pay off his bail and be released.
