FC Barcelona hopes to raise funds this summer to avoid breaching FFP rules and to sign new players to the squad next season. One of the players that is rumored to leave this summer is Frenkie De Jong. Although the Dutch midfielder is one of the best players in the team, he is valuable enough to sell and gain important funds for the club. Premier League clubs like Chelsea are interested in the player, and the Blues reportedly offered 100 million euros.

RAC 1 reports that FC Barcelona considers De Jong's wages to be too high and has offered him a new deal with a salary reduction. The club wants him to stay, but if he doesn't accept, he may be sold to strengthen the squad. Cadena SER reports that Frenkie de Jong does not want to leave Barcelona. He wants to stay and the door is closed for him. FC Barcelona has submitted a renewal offer to De Jong and he must respond within a few weeks, according to Gerard Romero.
