After joining the club in 2017, Kylian Mbappé confirmed to PSG that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. The French star player's contract expires this summer, and Mbappé is stuck with his decision not to extend his contract. In the summer of 2021, he signed a two-year contract with a possible year extension for the 2024/25 season. Since PSG was not able to extend it for an extra year, Mbappé has finally chosen to leave the club and go elsewhere.

Mbappé has been heavily rumored to go to Real Madrid this summer after years of him rejecting past offers from the Spanish giants. PSG did not want to let him go, but as the player decided to leave, the club had no choice but to move on and build a new squad full of youth. PSG could still be a threat in Europe next season without Mbappé because of the money the club will save from the French strikers' wages. PSG looks to count on Warren Zaïre-Emery and Xavi Simons for the next few years, along with signing superstars like Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao.

During today's training session, Mbappé told his teammates at PSG about his decision to leave the club in the summer as a free agent. Mbappé didn’t mention his future club to them or his potential Real Madrid move, but many have an idea that he will move to Madrid this summer. PSG manager Luis Enrique did not want to confirm Mbappé's decision and said, "I won't be drawn on Mbappe. I am the coach. When the parties speak, then I'll speak. We continue to work. Our message is the team is above and bigger than any individual."

Kylian Mbappé's brother, Ethan Mbappé, told Luis Enrique that he will be staying at PSG

Le Parisien reports that after Kylian Mbappé's speech to his PSG teammates about leaving the club, Luis Enrique spoke with Kylian's brother, Ethan Mbappé. Enrique asked Ethan Mbappé if he was leaving as well, to which he replied, No, I'm a Titi, me; I'm staying at PSG!" with a smile. PSG has reportedly begun talks for Ethan Mbappé's first professional contract. Ethan’s future is not linked to that of his brother, Kylian Mbappé, according to Abdellah Boulma from Sports.fr.
