Kylian Mbappe has done the inevitable and has chosen to leave PSG this summer. Many top sources covered and reported that Mbappe chose to tell PSG that he would leave the club and will not play for them next season. While there are no agreements as of yet, Real Madrid are in pole position to sign Mbappe this summer.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Mbappe decision is 100% confirmed, as PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has been informed today. PSG and Mbappe will communicate together about Kylian’s exit in the upcoming months. Real Madrid keeps working on the Mbappe deal with total confidence to get it done. Mbappe will need to cut pay to join Real Madrid since his wages at PSG are high. He reportedly earns 1.1 million euros weekly with a yearly salary of around 61.2 million euros. Real Madrid's fixed salary proposal for Kylian Mbappe is way lower than the one made in the summer of 2022 and lower than the current salary. Real Madrid wants Mbappe to join the club at their condition after spending years on this saga.

PSG plans to have a young core for the future of the squad. PSG hopes to renew the contract of their young midfield star, Warren Zaire Emery, who is currently 17 years old. Zaire Emery has played 18 games in Ligue 1 with two goals and two assists. He has also played in six Champions League matches, including yesterday's 2-0 win against Real Sociedad. Another player PSG plans to renew their contract is Xavi Simons, who is on loan with RB Leipzig. In 20 Bundesliga games, he scored five goals and provided seven assists.

David Ornstein reports that Osimhen is a prominent target for PSG as they look to replace Kylian Mbappe. Discussions already took place in January with a view to a summer move.
