Yesterday, Araujo played his 100th game for FC Barcelona in the 2-1 win against Celta de Vigo in La Liga.

Araujo played the first half of the Celta de Vigo game and was subbed out for precaution. Araujo played his 18th game in La Liga this season and was happy to reach this milestone with the club. In an interview with Lays, Araujo mentioned the importance of playing at FC Barcelona and what the players need to understand while playing for the Catalan club. Araujo says, "Barcelona is a special club, and there is a great influence around it. I think we have to be aware of where we are and the club we represent. The pressure is normal. I think players should accept constructive criticism."
Araujo revealed his reference for defending. Araujo said, "My reference? I have a great admiration for Puyol, Rio Ferdinand and Pique, whom I have always loved and learned a lot from. Currently there is Van Dijk. I always get inspired from defenders."

Ronald Araujo wants to improve on his concentration during games
Araujo admits he has trouble concentrating during 90 minutes of football, which concerns many Barca fans. Araujo said, "Concentration for the full match. If you do very well, but then you lose your focus in the 89th minute, you ruin the great performance you had. I wouldn't say I'm unfocused, but it's hard to maintain concentration for 90 minutes."
