Arsenal and Liverpool will be playing each other in one of the biggest games of this Premier League season. This game could define how the rest of the season could play out since Liverpool are 1st in the league with 51 points, and Arsenal are 3rd in the league with 46 points. Their last meeting in the Premier League was a 1-1 draw in late December.

Arsenal have come from an epic 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest away from home. Gabriel Jesus and Saka scored the two goals which gave them another three points in the league. Their last home league game was the 5-0 win against Crystal Palace. Arsenal have played Liverpool at the Emirates this season in the FA Cup but lost 2-0. With a win, Arsenal will place themselves second with 49 points and get closer to Liverpool.

Liverpool are in top form as they have an 11-game unbeaten streak. Liverpool just beat Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield in their last Premier League game. Liverpool will look to replicate their 2-0 win in the FA Cup at the Emirates; that game included goals from an own goal from Kiwior and a late Luis Diaz goal. With a win, Liverpool can create a bigger gap from everyone else as they can top the league with 54 points.

Arsenal and Liverpool announce their starting XI for their clash at the Emirates

Arsenal starts with David Raya in goal with a back four of Ben White, Saliba, Gabriel, and Zinchenko. Arsenal has three midfielders, with Declan Rice as the holding midfielder while Jorginho and Odegaard play further up. The front three are Saka, Havertz, and Martinelli.

Liverpool has Alisson in goal, with the returning Trent Alexander Arnold in the right-back position. Van Dijk and Konate pair up while Joe Gomez starts as the left back. The three midfielders are Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, and Ryan Gravenberch. The front three for Liverpool are Luis Diaz, Jota, and Cody Gakpo. Darwin Nunez is on the bench with Thiago Alcantara, who hasn't played since April 2023.
