Chelsea is beating Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Man City and Chelsea both need a win to climb up the Premier League table. Man City are on an 11-game winning streak, while Chelsea won their last two games.

Man City had their first chance of the game in the first minutes as Julian Alvarez took a shot that went wide by the right post. Chelsea had a great play coming from the right side. Cole Palmer found Enzo Fernandez who then passed to Gallagher in the box. His cross did not meet Nicolas Jackson but showed Chelsea's comfort with their passing.

Man City thought they were close to scoring near the 10th-minute mark, but a foul by Akanji on Petrovic stopped the play. Erling Haaland had his first game chance, but his header just went over the bar. Raheem Sterling had a chance right after his shot was not a threat for Ederson.

Ederson also made a terrible mistake after Jackson took the ball off of him. Gallagher attempted to find Palmer with a great through ball, but Ake made a crucial tackle for a corner. In the 23rd minute, Chelsea had the best chance of the game as Gusto found Jackson in the middle of the Man City box. Jackson shoots the ball at Ederson as Chelsea should’ve taken the lead.

Chelsea had another clear chance to give Chelsea the lead but his touch was bad. His touch was caught by Ederson, and the English winger couldn't take a shot. Doku ran from the left side and took a shot on target but Petrovic got a hold on it.

In the 42nd minute, Jackson flicks the ball back to Palmer and makes a run. Palmer passes it to Jackson, who runs toward the goal. He passes the ball to Sterling on the left. Sterling cuts inside past Walker and slots the ball in the bottom right corner to give Chelsea the lead late in the first half.
