Real Madrid is looking to make the Santiago Bernabeu the best stadium possible to attract many people worldwide. Santiago Bernabeu is seen as one of the most prestigious stadiums in European football. The renovation of the stadium has looked incredible, and it has impressed many outside of football. The NFL was impressed by how it looked and partnered with Real Madrid to announce it a game played there next year.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the Santiago Bernabeu would host the first NFL game in Spain. It is a big step for Perez as he wants the Bernabeu to become a world-renowned stadium. Perez said, "Santiago Bernabeú is going to be fundamental. It is one of the biggest challenges in our history. It will mark our destiny, and it will be a reference. It will be the reference for football, but also for all sports and concert events. It will mark a milestone in our history. It will be a symbol. It is part of our lives."

While Real Madrid secured an NFL game for next year, the club looks at hosting another sporting event not many expected. This past weekend in UFC 298, Georgian-Spanish fighter Ilia Topuria defeated Alexander Volkanovski by knockout and became the new UFC Featherweight Champion. Real Madrid wrote on X about his win and said, " Congratulations on your historic win for Spanish sports, Topuria. We are proud that a great Real Madrid fan like you becomes a UFC world champion." The Athletic reports that there is a possibility that UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria will take the kick-off at Real Madrid's next game at the Bernabeu.

UFC President Dana White is open to hosting a UFC event at the Santiago Bernabeu

Reports suggest that UFC president Dana White is interested in hosting a UFC event in Santiago Bernabéu. After Topuria's win, White was asked if there was a possibility that Topuria's first title defense could be hosted in Spain. White said, "If there is a venue there [Spain] that is available for us, we'll be there." White said the Santiago Bernabeu "sounds good" after hearing the stadium could hold 30,000 seats for an event like the UFC.
