A sour draw; Mason Mount scores his 1st for Man United in a poor 1-1 v Brentford

Manchester United drew 1-1 against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in the Premier League. Manchester United are 6th in the Premier League with 48 points while Brentford are 15th with 27 points. Brentford looked by far the better team but Man United were close to win the game late. It stays even for both and now Manchester United will play against Chelsea in the Premier League next week, while Brentford will play against Brighton.

Manchester United started brightly in the first 15 minutes as Bruno Fernandes tried to score from long range. After Man United looked to score an opener quickly, Brentford turned the game around and looked dominant. In the 24th minute, Wissa passes a great ball to Ivan Toney, who beats Onana, but his shot goes off the post. In the 32nd minute, Brentford hit the woodwork again as the Bees took a short corner and sent a deep cross towards the far post. Zanka's header hit the crossbar, and Man United was lucky not to concede.

Mason Mount scores late for Manchester United, but Brentford grabs an equalizer straight away

The referee added nine minutes after the 90th-minute mark, and Manchester United was close to stealing the three points. Mason Mount scored in the 96th minute as Casemiro laid the ball to Mount on the edge of the box, and the English midfielder took a touch and sent the ball into the net past Flekken.

In the 99th minute, Brentford finds the equalizer quickly as the ball is launched into the box. Toney controls the ball and sends a low ball in the area. An unmarked Ajer drills the ball into the net to make it 1-1. Man United got away with a point away from home after Brentford had more than 20 shots, where four hit the woodwork.
