Not Mbappe nor Messi, the unexpected player that Galtier praises the most in PSG
The French press is reporting that Kylian Mbappe was so incensed by his position on the final Ballon d'Or vote that he almost didn't attend the recent ceremony in Paris. It's not going to enhance his reputation which is already taking a battering following PSG's struggle to keep him at the Parc des Princes over the summer.
In fact, at that very ceremony where his countryman Karim Benzema was crowned the best player in the world, boos could be heard as Mbappe arrived. The fans positioned above the red carpet so they could get a glimpse of football's royalty had a negative reaction to the 23-year-old for his behaviour during the protracted saga between Real Madrid and PSG.

While Messi shines more than anyone, what his fans did for him and made Mbappe jealous
During the Ballon D'Or ceremony, cameras panned to Mbappe and he was visibly upset when it was announced that he finished several places behind the top three. This along with the publication of a list of demands he made in the summer has not endeared him to the PSG faithful. In fact even casual football fans have their opinions of Mbappe's primadonna leanings as ventilated in the press.
Despite his off-field issues, Mbappe has found life on the pitch much more improved despite Lionel Messi still leading the charge for PSG. The trio of Mbappe, Neymar and Messi has found their best form with all three finding the back of the net against Troyes on the weekend as they did in the 7-2 demolition of Maccabi Haifa in the midweek.
