Since his arrival in the summer, Mukiele has played in a variety of positions including centre-back, wing-back, and defensive midfield. And he's done it well putting in several key tackles and showing the same qualities that got him scouted in the first place. In a squad full of stars the coach is sure to appreciate his industry even more.

Earlier in the season Mukiele received praise for replacing right-back Achraf Hakimi, last weekend he came on as a sub again for centre-back Danilo who had to exit early further enhancing his reputation after a solid 100-match run at RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. Any injuries that may occur will only allow him more time on the pitch and more opportunities to cement his place in the squad.
