Extortionists demanded 13 million euros in exchange for Paul Pogba's wellbeing on march 19th's night. This controversial night has the Pogba brothers in the eye of the storm but in different spectrums. While Paul, who currently plays for Juventus, is still focused on regaining his prime level in Serie A, Mathias, his brother remains in police custody for further investigations.

Allegedly, Mathias Pogba was the mind behind the criminal act that Paul Pogba suffered several months ago and had stolen short of 3 million euros from his brother. Paul spoke to french journal Le Monde where he stated that, at the end of a day off from training with France's national team, he returned to Clairefontaine when it all happened.

According to Paul, he was taken by a group of friends to an apartment in Chanteloup-en-Brie. There he remained until 4 am with his phone turned off and taken by the people in there. Two hooded and heavily armed men came in and pointed at the french international demanding 13 million euros, 3 of them in cash as a ‘protection fee’.

Pogba's night of terror

Paul Pogba told Le Monde he had genuinely been scared and he yelled that he would pay whatever he was demanded. The response from the extortionists was telling him to ‘shut up and look down’. Pogba payed the 3 million euros and the hooded men left. Meanwhile, one of his fiends referred to as Rouchdane told the french star he ‘had to pay or they were all in danger’.
