Liverpool will invest 80 million pounds on rebuilding its Anfield Road stand adding an extra 7,000 seats to Anfield. This major investment comes as a result of the club’s recent success, both on and off the pitch. The new development will see the Anfield Road stand increased with additional 7,000 seats will take the capacity of Anfield to 61,000, making it the fourth football largest stadium in England behind only Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium, Wembley Stadium and Old Trafford.

Liverpool FC announced that it will invest £80million in rebuilding its Anfield Road stand. The new stand will add extra seats to Anfield, taking the capacity of the stadium to over 61,000. The decision to redevelop the Anfield Road stand is part of Liverpool's wider plans to expand the stadium capacity. The club has already secured planning permission for the expansion which is due to be completed in time for next season.
