Luis Suárez has been under the radar since he left Atlético Madrid last transfer window. His career continued with a return to his origins and his homeland, Uruguay, where Suárez has been playing since July 2022 and is now set to be a free agent prior to the World Cup and will be yet again looking for a team.

Nacional's president José Fuentes declared to the press that ‘the tournament ends and Luis Suárez leaves Nacional' and said he would not give out false expectations. This being said, many teams were expecting to have the world class striker on their squad after the World Cup. Amongst them, there were clubs like River Plate from Argentina and many MLS teams.

‘El pistolero’s' numbers with Nacional are not the best of his career, but he is keeping up expectations, mostly because of what the world knows he's capable of. In 8 games with Nacional, Suárez has 4 goals and 3 assists. The uruguayan striker will now likely be moving his talents to L.A Galaxy.

Suárez has already rejected an offer from MLS team Inter Miami, where he passed an offer of 9,5 million dollars a year. David Beckham's club wanted the Uruguayan for 4 years and as he declined, the club went for Gonzalo Higuaín to make him the star player of the club and their icon.

Suarez and a millionaire future in LA

L.A Galaxy is known for having world class players and paying them world class salaries. This was the case with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who earned 7,2 million dollars a year and is still true with players like Chicharito Hernandez who earns 6 million a year and is the 2nd highest salary in the MLS behind Carlos Vela. Suárez already passed an offer of 9,5 million a year and it is only correct to assume that L.A Galaxy's offer will be around that number, if not higher.
