Karim Benzema won the 2022 Ballon d'Or, after a 2021-2022 campaign in which he won four titles wearing the Real Madrid shirt.

One of the players who congratulated the Frenchman through social networks was Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi's current teammate at PSG. The Spaniard left a spicy phrase in favor of the current captain of the white team.

The Argentine press publication that made everyone furious by comparing Messi to Benzema's Ballon d'Or

Through Instagram, the former Real Madrid player uploaded a story where he congratulated Benzema, who at 34 years old won his first Ballon d'Or. The former world champion with Spain posted a photo along with the phrase: 'Finally, your magic is recognised. Congratulations Karim. Happy for you, brother. You deserve it'.

Ramos' words are a low blow for Lionel Messi. The captain of the Argentine national team won the last two Ballon d'Ors and received contempt from Robert Lewandowski after the last one, since he said that 'The Best' is more important than the distinction given by France Football.

What Ramos thinks of Lionel Messi:

The former Sevilla and Real Madrid player described Messi as 'unique'. Sergio Ramos highlighted what Leo means to the world of football. Now, the 'Flea' focuses on what will be the World Cup in Qatar, where the team led by Lionel Scaloni will face Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland, in the group stage.
