RB Leipzig are still struggling to keep Konrad Laimer, who only has one year left on his current contract.

The Austrian midfielder, however, is leaning towards a transfer and sees Bayern München as his "desired destination", according to Bild.

Bild further reports that Laimer has a €35m release clause in his contract, which is active until the end of June, with interested clubs currently waiting for it to expire as they look to sign him for a lower fee.

Laimer himself recently indicated that there could be a move in the cards for him, telling reporters:

Laimer`s words

“It is very possible that he will not play in Leipzig next season.

“It is a phase in which I think about my future. Now I am focusing on the national team. After that, I will sit down and talk to the people closest to me and see what the best possible step is for me.”

“I am taking my time because it is a very important decision.”
