France lost 2-0 to Denmark and has a crisis ahead of the World Cup

France lost 2-0 to Denmark and has a crisis ahead of the World Cup

Kylian Mbappé made what was perhaps his worst game of the season. The frenchman played a disastrous game with the team he claimed not too long ago he ‘felt most comfortable with’. In the past weeks he's been in the center of many controversies and now karma struck him.

Today's Nations League match was a disaster by France. After a first half in which Denmark completely dominated the ‘blues’, they came out with a different attitude. However, and in spite of their efforts, France lost their match and were close to relegation to the B league.

The French national team's coach, Didier Deschamps, defended Mbappé while belittling his teammate's work on today's game. Deschamps stated that 'He can't do everything either. That he was more decisive there three days, yes, but like the whole team. I'm not worried about Kylian.'

Mbappé will return to club action this weekend and will face Nice with PSG, but after this international break and all his declarations and attitudes towards his coach, teammates and team, it is likely that the French international will not play if not absolutely necessary.

Deschamp's obsession with Mbappé

It's not the first time the French coach defends and boost's Mbappé's ego. Before today's match, Deschamps also demanded that Christophe Galtier let the frenchman rest pending the World Cup start which is 56 days away. It seems Deschamps will defend Mbappé no matter what the scenario, even after he refused to be photographed with his teammates and has proven to be selfish and ungrateful.
