After an unfortunate crash with Netherlands player Martin de Roon, Eden Hazard was removed from the pitch. In the 65th minute, the Belgian striker was removed with visible pain but still walking and didn't return to the game. It appears to be a knee injury, which has been a problem for Hazard since he arrived to Real Madrid.
Now the 31 year old soccer player is pending an evaluation and will surely undergo some medical checkups before any more news are available. However, his delicate situation in Real Madrid, denominated delicate by Hazard himself, has now turned more complicated.

Eden Hazard has had few to none minutes played throughout his 4 seasons with Real Madrid. He came into the team under Zinedine Zidane's management and has had zero luck with injuries. The Belgian captain has not been near his Chelsea level and has not been determining or even important to the team.
Hazard's numbers in Real Madrid are amongst the worst years of his career. He's had 70 games with Madrid with only 7 goals and 11 assists. He's been non effective in any position and just when he appeared to have a break in the team after Benzema's injury, Rodrygo, Vinicius and Valverde overshadowed him.
The uncertainty that surrounds Hazard's future
Hazard has a contract with Real Madrid untill 2024. Hazard's aim is to stay in Madrid, but another plausible option is Chelsea, his former team that has a great memory of the Belgian and is in need of a striker. Another destination could be Calcio A in Italy. There the belgian could have a slower paced soccer that allows him to regain confidence and his true level. Nevertheless, everything is in his and Madrid's hands.
