FC Bayern Munich are reportedly close to announcing the renewal of Serge Gnabry as they have already agreed to a new a deal. The German winger's contract expires at the end of next season, despite having big clubs interested in signing him, he has decided not to leave the Allianz Arena, where he will secure a big salary after his contract extension.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarian team has reached an agreement with Gnabry to sign until June 30, 2026, 4 years more than his current contract. The German player has decided to stay in Munich despite the fact that he several interested clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea or even Real Madrid, who were considering signing him for free next summer.

For the moment, the feelings are moderately positive on both sides. As detailed by 'Sky', Gnabry is more willing to renew today than a few weeks ago, but the decision is not yet made and Bayern want a verdict before the end of August. Therefore, there is still some time for him to make a final decision.

'The Athletic' added that sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic would have been subtly pressuring the player to renew.

With the World Cup just a few months away, the striker is looking forward to staying at the Bavarian club, according to information published by 'The Athletic'. Gnabry's initial reluctance to renew was not due to economic issues, since Bayern's offer would place him beside best paid in the squad with 19 million euros per year, but to the competition in attack and the possible lack of playing time.
