Who is the highest paid player in the MLS?

Although it is still far from being among the elite, MLS is one of the highest paying leagues in the Americas. Stars such as Jozy Altidore, Chicharito Hernández, Xherdan Shaqiri and Gonzalo Higuaín, as well as Lorenzo Insigne and Mexico's Héctor Herrera in the summer, decided to join the league knowing the salaries and quality of life it offers.
