The Wizards on the other hand did not leave empty-handed as Roger Espinoza managed to score for Sporting Kansas City, but his goal was not enough to stop the Red Machine.

How Kacper Przybyłko and Xherdan Shaqiri scored their goals?

The first goal of the match came in the 30th minute when the offensive pressing that Ezra Hendrickson asked of his players paid off.

In that minute, Sporting KC lost a ball in the middle of the pitch, which was recovered by the Red Machine, and they served a deep pass to Przybyłko

Przybyłko didn't miss the opportunity and headed at full speed towards Tim Melia's goal, and unleashed a powerful shot that the Wizards' keeper could do nothing about.

In this way, the Polish-German striker opened the scoring and made it 1-0.

However, this attack would not go unanswered and in the 56th minute, Roger Espinoza cut the gap between the Red Machine and the Wizards.

In an attack down the left flank, Espinoza received a cross into the box and in front of Gabriel, Slonina shot, to find the back of the net and put the score at 1-1.

But things took a turn for the better for Chicago in the 50th minute, when a penalty was awarded to the Red Machine, and the man in charge of taking it was none other than Xherdan Shaqiri, who confidently shot and scored to make it 2-1.

But it was Kacper Przybyłko who would put the finishing touch to the match, receiving a pass from Brian Gutiérrez in the 82nd minute, and shooting from the center of the box to make it 3-1 for the final score of the match.

The game ended in an exceptional way for Hendrickson's team, but not everything was so simple as it was a game full of infringements, with a high dose of rough play and full of interruptions. Three players were cautioned: Andreu Fontas, Fabian Herbers, and Xherdan Shaqiri.
