With the likes of Xerdán Shaqiri, Gabriel Slonina, and Brian Gutiérrez on the pitch, the Fire was unable to overcome the Lions and had to settle for the same 9 points as in Week 5.

In the previous week, the Fire drew 0-0 with FC Dallas, making this the second consecutive week in which the club led by Ezra Hendrickson has not won or scored points.

Ercan Kara's goal to give Orlando City SC the win over Chicago Fire

The duel between the Lions and the Men in Red was intense from start to finish, and from the third minute on, the Fire's attacks were felt, as Luka Stojanovic, with an assist from Fabian Herbers, shot but was denied.

In the 5th minute of the match, the Chicago Fire made their presence felt again when Luka Stojanovic set up Robert Beric with a cross into the box from a corner kick.

Beric struck a right-footed shot from close range from the left side of the goal, but his shot missed the left side of the goal. And with this series of attacks, everyone thought it wouldn't be long before the Chicago Fire scored.

But both clubs went into halftime with the score at 0-0. However, in the second half, this would change, with an excellent collective play put together by the Lions.

It was in the 59th minute when Facundo Torres took a free-kick outside the Men in Red's box. The shot crossed from side to side of the opponent's area and Alexandre Pato received the cross and headed the ball past Ercan Kara.

Kara made no mistake and sent the ball into the back of the net with a powerful header to make the score 1-0.

Ercan Kara leads Orlando City SC as Chicago Fire stagnates

With this win for Orlando City SC thanks to Ercan Kara's goal, the Lions moved up to third place in the competition, when in Week 5 they were in sixth place in the competition.

While the Chicago Fire remains in 5th place in the competition, waiting to perhaps drop a few more places, depending on how the MLS results go in this Week 6.

If this club wants to be an MLS Cup contender, they will need better team play among their stars, as the Lions did by scoring the winning goal for them.
