The MLS was shaken this week as Javier Hernandez Balcazar, better known as El Chicharito, has already set a date for his retirement from soccer. When will he retire?

Instead of giving Javier Hernández another chance, Gerardo Martino decided to call a player erased from his team

The player gave the answer to this and more questions on the subject in a press conference, even though the player is going through a great soccer moment.

In the current MLS campaign, Hernández Balcázar has been a starter in the nine games so far this season, scoring five goals, which places him in the top 10 scorers in the U.S. league.

This was the date that El Chicharito set for his retirement

According to Javier Hernandez, the player sees himself retiring in the medium term. And although he said that he would still like to retire in 10 or 15 years, he says that his body will tell him when.

"I do see myself (retiring) in the medium term, that would be the most congruent thing I could say. In the long term, I imagine 10 or 15 years, I don't think my body would give me enough. Who knows? I am 33, my body does give me, it is responding the way it has to respond because I am also a very demanding person with myself".

In this way, the player does not lose his enthusiasm to continue winning titles in his career and has also expressed his desire to continue to be taken into account for the Mexican National Soccer Team, currently coached by Gerardo Martino.

Although Chicharito is not certain that he will be called to play in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022, the player does not lose hope of wearing the tricolor uniform again.

"If I don't feel good or if my body is not responding to me, I will step aside": Javier Hernández

The player did not miss the opportunity to clarify that if his body is not responding as it should, he would step aside to allow more players.

"So, if I don't feel or if my body is not responding to me the way I think it can be, it would be a good time for another teammate to take my place. I don't know, but I do see myself in the medium term, although who knows, you never know, at the end of this season I will retire or maybe we will continue interviewing each other for 10, 20 years, you never know".
