Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández continues to be on fire ahead of the start of the 2022 Major League Soccer Season, as the Mexican player scored a brace in the preparation game between LA Galaxy and DC United, a fact that the California team took advantage of to send several messages to the Mexican national team.

After trailing 0-1, the player from Guadalajara appeared in the 25th minute to equalize the score after finishing with his right foot a filtered pass he received inside the opponent's box.

It was in the final stretch of the match when the Aztec striker equalized again with a shot inside the box that was impossible for the Washington D.C. goalkeeper to stop, as he was far away from the action. The final score was 2-2.

LA Galaxy's messages to the Tri

During the friendly game, the LA Galaxy's Spanish-language Twitter account shared several posts highlighting Chicharito's performance and also tagged the Mexican national team's official account.

The first tweet shared by the Californian franchise was a video in which they showed off a fantasy play by the Aztec striker, as he managed to avoid the mark of two players and even made a nutmeg.

Later, the MLS team retweeted the publication of CH14's first goal, which was accompanied by the text "hi hi how are you or what @miseleccionmx". It didn't end there, because, for the video of Hernandez's second goal, the Galaxy again sent greetings to El Tri.

For Raúl Gutiérrez, Chicharito doesn't need to go to the national team

Raúl Gutiérrez, former coach of the Mexican national team in youth categories, considered that Javier Hernández's cycle is over in the Tricolor, as he affirms that the historic green striker is no longer a guarantee of scoring goals.

"For me, today Chícharo has no place in the national team. He was a reference in his time, but nothing guarantees that he will score goals," said El Potro in an interview with W Deportes.

Good preseason for Chicharito

With this brace, Javier Hernández reached four goals in the LA Galaxy's preseason, after scoring against Toronto FC and also against the New York Red Bulls.

The Los Angeles Galaxy have three wins and two draws to one loss in their six preseason games.
