Guillermo Ochoa has been playing for the Mexican National Team for several years, the goalkeeper has been to five World Cups and the fans are fed up that he now wants to play his sixth. This decision has caused controversy in the Mexican press, they say that he is a selfish player.

 

Former players like Luis García and Oswaldo Sánchez have criticized the goalkeeper's decision, in addition the fans booed him at the Azteca stadium in the match against Jamaica, people hope that Diego Cocca will give Carlos Acevedo the opportunity to be the star in the Mexican National Team.

Andrés Guardado announced his retirement from the Mexican soccer team. The midfielder played five world cups and was an outstanding player on the team, he was the captain of the Tri and one of the most respected soccer players.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who accompanied me and I was lucky to share moments during this beautiful dream," Guardado wrote on his Instagram account. Andrés had more than 100 victories with the Mexican National Team.

Andrés decided to retire to give young players like Luis Chávez and Erick Sánchez a chance. The footballer will now look for these players to be the new stars of the team. While Guillermo Ochoa does not want new goalkeepers to appear in the Mexican National Team.
