Gerardo Martino's El Tri will be looking to win their preparation matches, which they are trying to schedule, to be ready for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 

The Mexican national team was able to overcome the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers and could not be defeated in points by Canada and the USMNT, but they know that they must continue their preparation for Qatar 2022, as their group will not be easy.

El Tri was placed in the same group as Saudi Arabia, but also with Poland and Argentina, two rivals that will surely complicate their participation in the World Cup. 

Therefore, "Tata" Martino's squad is looking for preparation matches to reach the World Cup with its game plan and performance already tested with other competitive national teams.

And it must be taken into account that before the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022, there will be a FIFA date in September, in which it was confirmed to play against Argentina, but since this team will be Mexico's group rival, this match cannot be played. 

Therefore, the Mexican National Team will have to look for another opponent to play against, and although it is strongly rumored that Brazil could be the chosen one, there is still nothing concrete. 

Although what "Tata" Martino is clear about is that the ideal would be to play against a European or Asian team, to test the Mexican National Team's performance against rivals similar to those they will face in the World Cup, such as Poland or Saudi Arabia. 

The Mexican National Team will also be tested in the Nations League

If there is one thing that Gerardo Martino's El Tri have already confirmed, it is their opponents and dates for the CONCACAF Nations League, where they will face Suriname and Jamaica.

On June 11, the Mexican National Team will face Suriname, before facing Jamaica on June 14, in the first leg of the tournament, since the second leg will take place after the end of the FIFA World Cup.
