Martino insists on calling players like Jorge Sánchez or Henry Martín, who haven’t been relevant during their time with El Tri, leaving out promising players like Marcelo Flores, Carlos Acevedo or even Orbelín Pineda, who is just starting his journey in European soccer.

“Joserra” claimed that the apparition of these players in Mexico National Team roster was imposed by outsiders, as Televisa and El Tri sponsorships are looking to protect their own interests rather than having a good team, something that happened back in the 80s and 90s.
