After Carlos Vela announced that he won’t be wearing El Tri colors again, people have been wondering if Javier “Chicharito” Hernández will follow his steps, given that he’s also vetoed from Mexico National Team by Gerardo “Tata” Martino for similar reasons than Vela.

But Javier Hernández has showed interest in returning to El Tri, especially during a year in which the World Cup is set to be played and given the lack of strikers that Martino currently has, as neither Rogelio Funes Mori nor Henry Martín have fulfilled their duty, he might have one last chance.
Hernández is even willing to apologize for the scandal in which he has involved during his last call to El Tri in 2019, and now “Tata” Martino is seriously considering calling him again. But not everyone inside El Tri is happy with his potential return.
Who would oppose to Hernández’s return?
According to reports, Héctor Moreno is opposing the return of “Chicharito” as they’ve been involved in discussions previously, especially the one that also had Vela leave El Tri after they uncovered the difference in the prizes the players received during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
