The message that FMF sent Gerardo Martino for the upcoming FIFA match window

Mexico National Team has lost most of the support they had from both followers and directors after the diminished performances they’ve had since June last year, when they lost the first of three straight games against USMNT, they’re biggest rival in the confederation.

Yon de Luisa, FMF chairman, knows that they can’t keep playing without ideas, as El Tri won’t have chances of doing something important in Qatar 2022 if they don’t elevate their playing level. That’s why he said that no one in El Tri has their spot guaranteed.

His message was sent specifically to Gerardo “Tata” Martino, as he seems comfortable with the situation Mexico National Team currently is, as he hasn’t showed any signs of self-criticism for the way El Tri plays against CONCACAF teams.

Will Martino be in El Tri’s bench in Qatar?

De Luisa’s position hints that they’re already looking for someone to replace Martino if El Tri doesn’t start playing like they used to when Martino arrived in 2019. Rumors suggest that Matías Almeyda is ready to assume the job.
