Javier Hernández wants to return to the Mexican National Team now that Diego Cocca is the team's new coach. Gerardo Martino left Chicharito out due to the indiscipline that the player had in a concentration, this action annoyed the Argentine and he decided not to take the footballer to the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Chicharito is the top scorer in the history of the Mexican National Team and has not played a game with the team for more than three years, journalist Rubén Rodríguez reported that Javier Hernández has had conversations with Diego Cocca.

Diego Cocca acknowledged that he has spoken with Javier Hernández and the striker is close to returning to the team. The Mexican National Team will face the United States on April 19 in a friendly match. Chicharito hopes to be called by the coach and be able to fight for a place in the Nations League and the Gold Cup.

The journalist Rubén Rodríguez mentioned that Javier Hernández asked Diego Cocca to have fair competition to be the forward of the Mexican National Team. Chicharito knows that Mexico now has great forwards and that it will be difficult to win a place.
