The player stated that Galatasaray invited him for a two- to three-week trial with the team. If he manages to convince them they will offer him a possible contract to stay, but if not, he has other opportunities with other teams in the same country or one in Germany, he told ESPN.

Mauricio Lozano was in the Pumas youth academy and played for the Tabasco affiliate, although in the end he was not renewed by the university team. The door is now open to Galatasaray of Turkey, where he will be put on trial as of April 14.

For the player, this is a great opportunity and it is a dream. Being able to test himself in Europe is a situation that not just any player can do, so he declared himself excited about the challenge, although he said that it is a game of very competitive soccer and that he will have to give everything in his test.

Did the Lozano brothers ever play together?

Mauricio has already shared a dressing room with his brother, Hirving Lozano, as they played together in Pachuca's youth and high school teams.

"When we were kids, we were about a year and a half apart, they say that we look alike and that sometimes my brother was called Mau and I was called Hirving, it made us laugh, then we each went our own way," recalled the brother of 'Chucky' Lozano to ESPN.
