It’s no lie to say that Raúl Jiménez is one of the best Mexican players in Europe despite the lack of production that he went through once he returned to the pitches after being out for nine months given the head injury that he suffered back in 2020.

What will happen with Raúl Jiménez now that Javier Hernández will return to Mexico National Team?

Although he only scored six goals in the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers, away from the double digits that he was used to have during his first couple of seasons in Premier League, he was the top scorer for Wolves.

But Bruno Lage hasn’t found a place for him in the starting XI, as he finished the season playing as a right-winger, which is why they are considering selling him over the summer. And even if he was linked to teams like Bayern Munich or FC Barcelona, his next destination won’t be either of those teams.

American investment will be the key for his arrival at a new club

According to reports from The Sun, his next destination will be in La Liga, although not for one of the top teams, as now that RCD Mallorca were able to avoid relegation, Javier Aguirre has requested the addition of a few Mexican players to the roster, including Jiménez.

His arrival at Estadi de Son Moix could happen thanks to Robert Sarver, who bought the club back in 2016 and has been trying to establish the Bermellones in La Liga, which is why he doesn’t see with bad eyes paying the $18 million that Wolves are asking for the Mexican international, as he will be an instant improvement from the players in the current roster.
