PSV was playing for its life against Rangers of Scotland in search of a place in the next UEFA Champions League. The team where the Mexican Erick Gutierrez plays was looking to beat the Scottish team, however, things did not go as expected and the Dutch coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy was upset with the Mexican.

The Rangers goal came as a bucket of cold water for the entire PSV team. Faced with this situation, the coach quickly decided to take Erick Gutiérrez off the field. Although he was not responsible for the goal, it shows that for the Dutch legend, he is not so important in the team.
