Napoli announced the seriousness of the injury that Hirving Lozano suffered in the Napoli vs Leicester match. And apparently there is very good news.

According to the press release revealed by the Italian team, the player, who suffered a non-emotional craniofacial trauma, underwent a series of tests that ruled out serious damage.

The report says: "Hirving Lozano, who in the course of Napoli-Leicester had accused a non-emotional craniofacial trauma, in the morning was accompanied by Health Manager Raffaele Canonico."

"He underwent clinical and diagnostic examinations at the Pineta Grande Clinic with Dr. Alfredo Bucciero and the results were negative," the press release assured.

Therefore, the player did not suffer any damage to be regretted, apart from the serious blow that forced him to leave the field.

In fact, the player has already reported with the team for today's training session ahead of Napoli's next match, which will be played on December 12 against Empoli

This Serie A match, which will be played tomorrow, will be fundamental for the Azzurri to retake the lead in the overall standings.

The team will have to fight to get back to the top of the table, as their 3-2 loss to Atalanta dropped them to third place in the competition.

How has the Mexican been doing in Europe?

Although the Mexican player's numbers on the old continent have been good, he has had to deal with various injuries that have shortened his performance.

While at PSV Eindhoven, the player played 79 games, scored 40 goals and contributed 23 assists to his team's goal.

However, his days with the Red-and-White Army were not without injuries, especially knee and elbow injuries, as well as a head injury and a knee injury.

Now with Napoli, the situation has been less favorable, as the player has suffered the same number of injuries as with PSV, but his performance has declined.

With the Azzurri, Lozano has played 99 games, scoring 23 goals and setting up 10 assists.

And rumors about his departure in the upcoming transfer market have been growing in recent weeks.

Chucky Lozano's importance for the Mexican national soccer team

Lozano is one of the most important figures for the Mexican team as it seeks to secure its ticket to the World Cup to be played in Qatar 2022.

To date, "Chucky" has played 53 games with the national team and has scored 15 goals. That is why the news of his injury set off alarm bells in the Mexican Soccer Federation

His injury in the Europa League brought back bad memories of the Gold Cup

The blow that Lozano suffered in the match against Leicester, besides being terrible, revived very bad memories for the player. Especially from the Gold Cup

In that tournament, the player admits that he almost lost his life.

In an interview for ESPN, the soccer player spoke about the seriousness of the blow he suffered against Trinidad and Tobago, and detailed:

"I think more so because when you have children, you have to look out for them. Many doctors told me, I could even lose my life and it makes you very afraid on those occasions, because you leave two children, a woman alone and it was a very hard blow and it makes you think about many things".
