But the break from the domestic leagues will also give time to the clubs to start planning the movements they will do over the summer in order to have the best possible roster for the 2022-23 season, and some teams might even start negotiating some movements.

That’s the case with SS Napoli, who will ponder during the FIFA match window the option of sending Hirving “Chucky” Lozano to Real Madrid, as Los Merengues know they need to strengthen their squad after the 4-0 defeat in El Clásico.

In the past, “Chucky” has said that he feels comfortable playing in Napoli, which is why he wouldn’t consider leaving the Azzurri unless there’s an offer in the table form one of the biggest European teams, like Real Madrid.

Will “Chucky” play in Real Madrid next season?

For now, Napoli is looking to lower their expenses for the 2022-23 season, as their looking to decrease the salaries they currently are paying and reduce the players on the roster, something that might change if they play in the Champions League next season.

According to reports from Italian sports journalist Paolo Esposito, “Chucky” Lozano doesn’t plan on restructuring his current contract to lower his $4.5 million per year salary, which could mean that Napoli is willing to sell him, if they receive an offer for at least $50 million.

For Real Madrid, it makes sense to acquire a right-winger, as there’s still uncertainty around the future of Gareth Bale, and if Carlo Ancelotti stays in Los Merengues’ dugout for the next season, his reunion with Lozano will be possible, as he was the coach that requested his arrival in Napoli.

Lozano’s numbers in Napoli

Hirving Lozano arrived in Serie A on 2019, after the Azzurri acquired his economical rights on a permanent move from Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven. In the three seasons he’s played with Napoli, Lozano has played a total of 107 games, where he’s score 25 goals and assisted on 10 times.
