Days go by and Gerardo Martino's situation with the Mexican national team does not seem to be resolved. In view of this, coach Ricardo Antonio Mohamed has said yes to the Mexican national team. The tactician knows how to deal with Mexican players and has ample experience at the Liga MX level.

In an interview with ESPN, Turco Mohamed stated that he is interested in coaching El Tri. It is one of his objectives as a coach and he wants to give the Mexican team a new direction and destiny. From that point on, Antonio Mohamed would play for the Mexican team's dressing room once and for all.

While the coach's approval has been given, the official departure of Gerardo Martino, who will not continue for much longer, is expected. In fact, there is already a definite date when the current coach of El Tri will leave his position at the helm of the national team.

When will Gerardo Martino leave his post to bring in the Turco?

Coach Gerardo Martino has already told the federations that he does not want to stay at El Tri. Martino is looking to return to his native country due to health issues and two offers he has from Argentinean soccer. His cycle would end once Mexico's participation in the next World Cup Qatar 2022 is over.
