It was leaked that Martino has already resigned from El Tri, the replacement would be neither Herrera nor Larcamón

The Mexican National Team qualified for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after finishing the World Cup Qualifiers by defeating El Salvador at the Azteca Stadium.

How did Mexico qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar?

With a 2-0 score and goals by Uriel Antuna of Cruz Azul and a penalty kick by Raúl Jiménez of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC of the Premier League, the Mexicans secured their place in the World Cup.

After a very complicated World Cup Qualifiers, in which El Tri fans feared that their team would not make it to the World Cup, Gerardo Martino's team managed to finish as the second-place team in the confederation.

There were even moments in which the fans of the Mexican National Team began to call for the dismissal of the coach, Gerardo Martino, and even to stop calling up certain players, as in the case of Rogelio Funes Mori.

And at the end of the tournament, the Mexicans even had to deal with the health problems of the coach, "Tata" Martino, of whom it has been said that he will not be able to make it to Qatar 2022 and that another coach could take his place.

This is due to a detached retina that Martino suffered, and although he has already undergone surgery, he has not been able to solve the issue, so rumors of a new coach for El Tri have been gaining strength.

However, despite these difficulties, the Mexican National Team gave its fans some joy and has already qualified for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022, where the Mexican flag was raised to celebrate this fact.

The Mexican flag is already flying in Qatar

In a ceremony attended by the Mexican ambassador to Qatar, Graciela Gomez Garcia, accompanied by the former coach of the Tricolor, Bora Milutinovic, and Qatari diplomats, the Mexican flag was raised high.

The ceremony also included the singing of the national anthem to certify the presence of our country in the World Cup, followed by the popular song Cielito Lindo, a melody recognized worldwide.

At the end of the event, Ambassador Gomez Garcia said about the event: "This is a unique World Cup that for the first time will bring our fans closer to the region, to the country with a foreign cultural and religious context and that our fans come with a very open mind and respect for traditions.
