Martino would seek Vela's return to the national team, will the Mexican accept?

Given the problems that the Mexican national team is currently experiencing, coach Gerardo Martino would consider the return of LAFC player Carlos Vela.

However, Vela has already taken a position on the matter and has assured that he will not return to the Mexican national team, considering that there are young players who can take his place.

"Yes, the door to the national team is closed. I think it's time for young players like Chucky Lozano, Tecatito Corona, and Diego Lainez," he told ESPN.

Vela now looks to his future with LAFC

The Mexican is no longer considering a return to the Mexican national team and is renewing his contract with the Californian team for one more year to stay until December 2023.
