Héctor Herrera is getting closer to the end of his career, as the 31-year-old is not considered as an essential piece for Diego “Cholo” Simeone’s squad and could be leaving Atlético Madrid soon in hopes of getting more playing time to be in optimal condition for 2022 FIFA World Cup to be played in Qatar.

He might be living his last World Cup this year, and although he’s one of Tata Martino’s favorites, his current performances have him far away from what Mexico National Team needs.
