Neither Rogelio Funes Mori nor Henry Martín are the answer that El Tri needs in order to start scoring, but Gerardo Martino doesn’t seem to care -or doesn’t know that there’s plenty of other strikers in better shape than them-.

On the same weekend that El Tri couldn’t beat Costa Rica in Estadio Azteca, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández had an outstanding participation in the LA Galaxy preseason 5-4 victory over Toronto FC, who are still waiting for the arrival of Carlos Salcedo and Lorenzo Insigne -who still has 6 more months with Napoli-.

Why does Martino refuse to call Hernández?

“Chicharito” has been involved in some scandals in recent years, including one in 2019, where he was seen sneaking women into El Tri camp, something that made Gerardo Martino veto him. But now, Hernández is living one of his best moments as a soccer player and already has said that he’s willing to apologize in order to be considered again for El Tri.
