It’s no lie to say that Jaime Lozano is one of the best Mexican coaches from the last few years, after his debut with Club Querétaro in Liga MX in 2017 and his successful stint as Mexico National Team U-23 coach from 2018 to 2021, where he managed to win the bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Martino already has a starting XI of player he’s vetoed from El Tri

But after he decided to part ways with El Tri U-23, he waited for the chance of arriving in the senior squad to help Gerardo Martino, something that didn’t happen. And after the disappointing results El Tri had on the second semester of 2021 and at the beginning of this year, he became one of the coaches on the mix to replacing Martino.

His arrival to El Tri was cut by a player who no longer is part of any Mexico National Team squad, as he engaged on a fight with Jaime Lozano after the Mexican coach informed him that he was not going to be part of his squad for Tokyo 2020.

Who is the player that prevented him from arriving in El Tri?

According to reports, Pumas left-back Alan Mozo didn’t like the decision Lozano made of leaving him out of the final squad. Mozo is known for having a short fuse, which is why, when Martino found about the incident, he decided to veto him, but also pushed away Lozano from arriving in El Tri’s dugout.
