After news broke about Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s decision of resigning as Mexico National Team coach, even though the players made him stay, and then Yon de Luisa claiming that his place with El Tri wasn’t secure, a lot of names have surfaced as his replacement.

But rumors suggest that Miguel Herrera already has agreed to have a second stint as Mexico National Team coach if “Tata” Martino fails to gain 7 out of the 9 possible points in the upcoming FIFA match window, where El Tri will begin their journey in Kingston, against the Reggae Boyz.

If Herrera becomes the next El Tri coach, he already knows what he’ll do to change things in Mexico National Team camp, as he’ll stop calling Héctor Moreno, Andrés Guardado and Rogelio Funes Mori, who arrived in El Tri by Martino’s personal request.

How much does Miguel Herrera earns in Tigres?

Miguel Herrera currently is under contract with Tigres, and he’s supposed to be Los universitarios coach until 2023, something that FMF will have to negotiate if he becomes Martino’s replacement. He currently earns $3 million per year, a figure that El Tri will have at least to match if they want to acquire his services.
