Mexican striker Hirving Lozano will return to Napoli's squad this Sunday for the important match against Milan in the 28th round of Serie A, after more than a month out with a right shoulder injury that has forced him to miss six games, including the Europa League tie against Barcelona.

"Hirving has been called up for the match against Milan," said Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti at the pre-match press conference.

The striker dislocated his right shoulder during the last FIFA match window in a game against Panama with the Aztec national team, which has kept him out of action since January 23.

Chucky returns to a Serie A match at a key moment when both contenders are playing for the disputed leadership of the domestic championship, now held by Inter after their victory over Salernitana, but which they will lose as long as the clash between Napoli and Milan on Sunday does not end in a draw.

Spalleti did not confirm if the Mexican will have minutes in the game

Spalletti did not reveal if the international will have minutes against Milan, in a match that is key in the fight for the 'Scudetto'.

"We are at the top and no one has more motivation than us. I don't know which of the two teams is better, the match will tell. As for my team, I can say that we are at our best level in every way," said the recently named Serie A's 'Coach of the Month'.

"My feelings are good, together with the team and our fans we are putting together a good story. I have a group of true professionals who realize the passion of a city that burns with passion like Vesuvius," he added.

The coach assessed his opponent this Sunday: "Milan is physical and talented. They also have similar characteristics to ours, such as dribbling and long insertions. We will have to fill the field with physicality and quality and be careful with one-on-ones".

Napoli could break their Italian league winless drought

The 'Azzuri' have it in their hands to become Italian champions, and Spalletti is highly motivated to achieve it.

"We have the opportunity to immortalize our careers and these are things that don't always happen in soccer. But the championship is open between teams of our level. The final outcome will depend on many factors, but what is certain is that we are here to fight with extraordinary motivations," he said.

For this match, the 'Partenope' team presented a new edition of jerseys in homage to Argentine Diego Armando Maradona, which will be auctioned signed by the players of the first team to donate the proceeds to organizations that collaborate with Ukrainian refugees.
